Which Amazon Echo Do You Need?

Since the Internet retail giant Amazon first released its voice assistant and Bluetooth speaker, the Amazon Echo with Alexa, they have taken the world by storm. People love the convenience of having a voice assistant in their homes. The only bad thing about this product for some is that there are too many different variations to choose from. The best model will depend on what you want to get out of it. Let’s take a look at the differences between the different Echo models that are available. Of course all of these will come complete with Alexa, the voice assistant artificial intelligence for your use.

Amazon Echo (Base Model)
This is the first version of this product to be released. They have since updated the model and included some of the upgraded features from the different versions that are available. They are available in four different colors and are one of the most affordable options. If you want to have a voice assistant in your home along with a decent stereo system without breaking the bank, this is a great choice.

Amazon Echo Plus (2nd Gen)
The plus version of this product includes upgraded sound systems and some additional features. They added a subwoofer for more powerful bass response and a temperature sensor for climate control. It even includes a smart home hub that you can use to sink your smart devices. While in the past, the plus model was typically worth the cost to upgrade simply for the sound quality improvements, the newest versions of the base model include an upgraded sound system already, so it is unclear whether this would be worth the additional price or not to you.

Amazon Echo Studio
This version of the Amazon echo is for the audio files out there. The biggest difference between this model and the base model is the inclusion of 3-D object-based surround sound. It has a large sound field with three different drivers, a tweeter, and a 5.25-inch sub offer. It is able to cover the entire spectrum of sound better than any other model of this product.

Amazon Echo Show (2nd Gen)
This version of the Amazon Echo is the first one to include a screen on this list. It is also the most expensive one on this list. It has a 10-inch 1080P screen that allows you to easily surf the web if you would like with voice commands. You can also use an on-screen keyboard if you do not want to use the voice control features.

Amazon Echo Dot
The Amazon echo dot is about the size of a hockey puck. The newest version of this model has improved sound quality over the previous generation’s sound quality. It is the least expensive of all of the options on this list. If you simply have to have a voice assistant inside of your home, but you want to spend as little as possible, this will definitely be the best choice.
